A great workable cafe near Myeongdong. It spans two floors, offering lots of seating. Great WiFi but there are only a few outlets, all of them in the corners of the second floor. The second floor features proper desk chairs and conference tables, but closes at 14:00 on weekdays. The desserts were definitely a highlight here. The cheesecake was one of the best I've had. On a Friday afternoon it was very quiet.
There are several Dreamers Coffee locations in Taipei, but this one near Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall is my favorite. They open at 7 every day, so it's a great place to work in the mornings, especially since it usually gets very busy after lunch. Good natural light thanks to the large windows all around. The large worktable (with power outlets) is great to work from. There are also power outlets by all the smaller tables. The WiFi works for basic browsing, but it's not super fast. Cheap drinks, but tea selection is slightly lacking in my opinion.
A very workable cafe near the central station in The Hague. On a weekday there were a lot of people sitting working/studying on their laptops. Fairly quiet and cozy atmosphere. The counter seats by the windows are a good option (with power outlets available on the table). There's WiFi as well, not super fast, but good enough. Very friendly staff, and plenty of food and drink options (both savory and sweet).
This building is mainly Chiyoda city office but the 9th and 10th floor are public library where anybody can access for free. On the same floor, there is a food court with great view and lots of food options for a reasonable price. The library area has a lot of individual booth but they are technically limited to those who have the library card, which is not too hard to get at the reception. There are also free address tables. There is unfortunately no places to take any calls. WiFi speed really depends on the location. Some part of the library struggled to get signal, but other parts had 20 to 30 Mbps download. On the ground floor of the building, there are a few seats available for everyone and Chiyoda city WiFi is quite reliable down there. There is a bakery and a coffee shop there so not going up to the library is also an option.
A great place for remote workers in Tokyo. The location is good, right between Shibuya and Omotesando. The lobby space is large, with large worktables, individual tables, and even a large outdoor area, which is nice to use when the weather is good. Fast WiFi and plenty of power outlets. You can use the space for free, but you can also orders drinks in the bar (quite pricey though). There's also a small lobby shop selling some cheaper beverages and snacks. Mornings are usually pretty empty, but during the afternoon it fills up quickly!
Another Tully's in an office area. Have lots of individual seats, some are partitioned for concentration. It's bit shaded so not the best view but very functional. Powers are plenty available.
This is one of my regular "working lunch" spots. A really cool cafe/restaurant/lobby. The main seating area on the ground floor is a restaurant. For short work sessions you can use a laptop as long as you order food as well (e.g. "working lunch"), and be sure to choose a seat in the back corner. I can definitely recommend the Rendang sandwich for lunch, it is fantastic!
For longer work sessions (or if you just want a beverage) you'll have to sit upstairs. This area is very popular and fills up fast, so be sure to arrive early and grab a seat.
Staff is always super friendly! The WiFi is good, but sometimes it will become very slow.
