A large spacious cafe (also art space / rental venue) with several large work tables, counter seats, and sofa area. Large windows with good natural lighting. Good food and decent drink selection. Fast WiFi, but not very many tables have power outlets unfortunately. Pretty empty and quiet on a weekday so definitely a nice place to sit and get some work done at.
A great cafe if you're looking for a place to have a proper brunch while also getting some work done. The interior feels modern and open with large windows all around letting in natural light. Two tables near the back wall have power outlets. The WiFi was a little slow, but it worked. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
A great new Starbucks branch by Houshanpi MRT station. There are two floors, with the second featuring plenty of comfortable seating, a large work table, and even an outdoor balcony. The balcony unfortunately seems to be closed during the winter months though. The second floor is usually very quiet with most people working or studying. Weekdays, especially mornings, aren't too busy. Lots of power outlets and solid WiFi.
A fantastic cafe for working near Takadanobaba station. The 2nd floor is best for working, so when you arrive, let the staff know that you'd like a seat on the 2nd floor, and they'll give you a seat number and a QR code for ordering.
Drinks are quiet basic, and a little pricey for what you get, but at least the space is very comfortable, great for a work or study session.
Two restrooms available, one on 1F and one on 3F.
One of my favorite spots to work in the morning since they offer free toast with a drink until 11am. To be fair though, the drinks are pricey, so you don't really save any money. The vibe is quite old school with a mix of locals, tourists, and workers. My favorite seats are the counter seats overlooking the street below.
This Starbucks is located outside the ticket gates at the new Takanawa Gateway station on the Yamanote line. There isn't much around since the station, which is part of a large redevelopment project in the surrounding area. The station features a nice design with plenty of natural light. The Starbucks is located on the balcony above, overlooking the station.
To access the Starbucks, take a right just after exiting the ticket gates. Follow the "coffee cup" sign which leads you up a set of stairs.
The Starbucks features their "Smart Lounge" concept. There are two zones, one just as you walk in, and another to the left of the ordering queue. The left side was very quiet, and features several partly enclosed booths. Personally I like the counter seats, overlooking the station.
The WiFi was very fast, and most (if not all) seats have individual power outlets and USB charging ports, which was great! Seats aren't the most comfortable though, but it's fine for maybe an hour or two. Early morning was surprisingly busy, mostly business workers coming in for a coffee before work I guess. Late morning before noon was fairly empty.
There are actually two "STATION WORK" booths in the back as well. Pro-tip: if you connect to the STATIONWORK WiFi network you won't have to constantly reconnect, like with the regular Starbucks WiFi.
A great restaurant that's also very workable during lunch and early afternoon on weekdays. On weekdays it's usually pretty quiet so it's a nice place to have some good brunch/lunch while getting some work done. The wifi is very fast and there are some power outlets. The WiFi has problems connecting to non-standard ports.
This cafe is located just a minute away from the beach. In fact, if you go upstairs and get a seat with the ocean view! The food is generally good and the milk shake was amazing 🥤 They've got some craft beers from town as well. It feels bit more like a restaurant than a work cafe, but when I went, there were a few individuals with laptops open so there are a few who stays there for a long time. Also, the staff said "I wish I can code. Good for you bro", so I guess they don't care if you work there. However, I have to mention that one time I went with a friend, they forgot about our orders and it didn't come out for 40 mins. And they blamed on other staff. That was a bit unprofessional.
This was a perfect work spot on a weekday morning. The counter seats are great, with plenty of power outlets, and the chairs are pretty good (not super comfortable, but not bad either). The piano/lounge background music is perfect for focusing. Large menu with food, drinks, and snacks; although the tea selection was a little small. It was very quiet in the morning but seemed to get busy around lunch time since they also serve food. I'll have to go back and try it in the afternoon as well sometime! More than anything, the service was fantastic and the staff was extremely welcoming!
