A small coffee shop right by the river in Williamsburg. It's mostly a takeout place, but there are some nice counter seats with views overlooking lower manhattan and brooklyn bridge. There's coffee, snacks, ice cream, good WiFi, and lots of power outlets. A great spot for getting some work done for a couple of hours on a weekday.
There is a restroom, although it was unavailable during my visit.
A very popular cafe for working and having meetings. Nice interior and soft jazz background music, which gives the place a good vibe. There are several seating options, including a small outdoor seating area. Personally I like the bar seats, although it's not very comfortable to sit there for a long time. Decent WiFi and plenty of power outlets. The menu has many options for coffee but unfortunately the tea selection is quite small. One tip is to arrive early to get a good seat, since it can get quite busy even on a weekday.
A decent spot near Nakameguro, serving drinks and some food. It seems like a popular spot on weekdays, since most seats filled up by around 1-2pm. I tried the avocado toast, which was pretty good, but not really filling enough as a lunch.
Located in the Tokyo International Forum atrium. It's on B1 but plenty of natural light from the atrium windows. The nearest subway exit is D5. There's an indoor seating area as well as a seating area in the atrium. The atrium isn't open to the outside, but it was still a bit chilly during winter time. Very fast WiFi (Doutour Free WiFi) and the large worktable has power outlets.
A nice place to work near Nakameguro. It opens early and closes late. It can get fairly busy/crowded though. A large selection of drinks and snacks.
A pleasant cafe located on the 2nd floor of the building across the street from Starbucks. There is a large menu serving food, snacks, desserts, and drinks. The WiFi is very fast and works well, but the inside seating area lacks power outlets. There are some power outlets on the balcony though (which also has AC). THe main downside is that the nearest restrooms are public and are located on the first floor of the building.
A great workspace near Samseong station. Just register online and pickup your badge in the reception. Good hours, fast wifi, comfortable chairs, quiet environment. Popular, but you can always find a free seat. The large work table (best seats imo) usually fills up quite fast. No cafe inside but there are two coffee shops in the building and a Coffee Bean one block away.
This library is located right in front of the Circular Quay station and wharf, so the access using public transport is great. The reading rooms are full of workers and students but it is a quiet room so if you have to take calls, you have to move to the common space where there are couple of sofas but not desks and tables. The reading room also doesn't have power outlets so you have to bring a mobile battery for longer hours.
