This library is located right in front of the Circular Quay station and wharf, so the access using public transport is great. The reading rooms are full of workers and students but it is a quiet room so if you have to take calls, you have to move to the common space where there are couple of sofas but not desks and tables. The reading room also doesn't have power outlets so you have to bring a mobile battery for longer hours.
A large modern cafe with lots of seating space. The front area is open and airy, with plenty of natural light. Further inside there are small tables, and two large worktables as well. A large selection of food and drink, good WiFi, and plenty of power outlets makes this a great spot to work from. The sandwiches are worth trying, but the portion was perhaps slightly too small. The chairs aren't the most comfortable and it got a little noisy in the afternoon. Great service and friendly staff.
Trendy cafe/restaurant, modern interior, dim lighting, and lounge music. It's workable, but might be crowded/noisy during lunch and dinner time. There are two large worktables in the back, counter seating, and more tables near the front. Lots of power outlets, but the WiFi was very slow (at least in the front seating area). Good food, and the portion size was quite good, but a little pricey.
This cafe has been on my list for a long time after a friend recommended it to me. It's definitely a great place to work. I arrived on a weekday afternoon and it was almost full, only one table available. Even so, it was very quiet since everyone was either working or studying. The interior is quite small, but the space is comfortable and has plenty of natural light. There's a good selection of drinks and cakes, I tried the oolong tea cheesecake, which was very tasty!
Simple and clean interior, very comfortable for working. There are plenty of seating options, and the chairs are comfortable. The music selection is quite special (mostly ambient music) but it wasn't distracting. (Old reviews on Google Maps say you need to pay to use the power outlets, however this is no longer the case). Drinks were a little underwhelming (the English Breakfast tea didn't taste very fresh), but the tiramisu was very tasty.
Not only is this a very work-friendly place, but the food is also fantastic, with many great choices and large portions. If you're looking for a place where you can sit and work all day without going somewhere else to get food, then this is definitely your place! It can get pretty busy though, so arrive before or after the weekday lunch rush to make sure you get a good seat.
The interior is very large with seating available on two floors. The large workable in the middle is quite comfortable. There are power outlets at nearly every seat (even in the floor under the large work table). However, the WiFi was extremely slow, so you'll probably need to use a mobile hotspot if you need reliable internet.
Nice co-working space. Good wifi, lots of power outlets, many seating areas (including work tables with proper office chairs). Monthly membership gives you access to all JustCo locations. 2 month deposit required, credit card not accepted unfortunately.
A great place if you’re looking for a quiet spot on a weekday. Large interior, although the big room feels a little dark and lacks natural light. Good drink selection, including oatly as an option. There's also a small selection of snacks, the banana and hazelnut toast was really tasty, and perfect if you need a small snack. Some power outlets are available, and the WiFi is decent.
A nice, small cafe with a sense of community. The first floor has only counter seats and is not very spacious, but the open kitchen gives a welcoming feeling. Take the stairs to reach the comfortable second floor seating area. There is a sofa area, suitable for relaxing, counter seats, and small tables. Power outlets can be found at every seat, and there's WiFi. There are also great food options, the Danish toast is definitely worth trying. One minor “shortcoming” might be that the atmosphere is too relaxing and you might get distracted from your work or studies. It is easy to fill up after 10:30, so come early!
A great cafe that specializes in Turkish tea, coffee, and desserts. The interior is nicely decorated and the food/drinks were really good (it's definitely worth visiting to try the food!). However, it is a little pricey compared to other cafes in the area. The WiFi was fast and stable, but I didn't see very many power outlets. At least one of the individual seats near the back entrance has access to power.
