The cafe inside the Xinyi Eslite department store opens early and closes late, great for those who need to get to work done during off-peak hours. However, the lack of WiFi and power outlets makes this a difficult work spot. Be sure to arrive fully charged and bring a mobile hotspot. At least the interior and views are nice and the seats are comfortable. Food and drinks are a little pricey. You'll need to use one of the street level entrances to access the cafe when the department store is closed.
A very unique cafe, and if you're into Taiwanese tea then this is probably one of the better cafes in Taipei. The cafe is located on the second floor of an old building. You'll likely miss the tiny entrance if you aren't paying attention. The cafe space feels large and spacious, filled with old furniture and large wooden beams in the ceiling. It definitely has a special vibe!
Just keep in mind, you'll probably want to make a reservation. There are only 3 small tables right by the entrance that are available without reservation (first come first serve), and most other tables are usually booked.
