A great little cafe near Yongchun MRT that is open late (until 23:30). It was surprisingly busy late on a weekday, almost full with people studying, working, or chatting. Nice modern interior and very comfortable chairs. There are some power outlets along the walls, the WiFi worked but was a little slow. Good drinks selection, with plenty of non-caffeine options for late night work, and the desserts/waffles looked very good.

A popular cafe near NTNU. On a weekday afternoon it was very busy full with many people studying or working. It has a cool vibe and good relaxing music selection, but it felt too cramped/crowded. Another downside is that the menu is surprisingly limited (especially if you don't want to drink coffee). The WiFi was very slow and difficult to connect to, and one of the power outlets by my table wasn't working.

The unique interior style and extensive menu is definitely the highlight here. The food options sound really good and the drinks menu has a little bit of everything (tea, coffee, sodas, cocktails). There are a couple of large worktables, some smaller tables, and a lot of counter seating (good if you want to work standing up). There are some drawbacks for working though. The seats are not particularly comfortable though (hard wooden chairs). Some power outlets scattered around, but there was no WiFi unfortunately.

There used to be a Starbucks on the 35F of Taipei 101, open to the public, but required a reservation. There was also a strict minimum spend of 250 NTD and a 90 minute time limit. I had a chance to test it before they closed the Starbucks during the end of 2020 (maybe it will open again in the future?)

You need to call and make a reservation, at least 1 day before. Arrive at Taipei 101 around 10 minutes before you reservation and then a staff member will escort you up to the 35F. The Starbucks itself is very small. There are mostly counter seats along the windows with good views, as well as some smaller tables. There was only 1 power outlet but it wasn't near any of the windows. The WiFi was unfortunately quite slow as well.

A fun experience, but perhaps not the most workable place in Taipei.

A very nice looking cafe located in an old traditional building which looks really nice from the outside. The interior feels quite cozy, with both counter seats and tables. It was very quiet in the morning but got quite busy around lunch. Most seats seem to have access to power and the WiFi was quite fast. They have an extensive drinks and food menu.

A simple cafe near Taipei Arena. The interior and furniture is fairly ordinary, but there are some nice personal touches, like paintings, magazines, and a fish tank. It's clean and the staff was friendly. Decent WiFi, but lacking power outlets. I saw one table near the back wall that has access to power. Nice drinks selection and the food options seem pretty good as well, so it might be a good cafe to have lunch at.

A nice, small cafe near Yongkang Street. The interior feels modern and has a relaxing atmosphere. It was not very busy throughout the day on a weekday. The WiFi is great, and there are some power outlets along the left side wall, but none at the larger table. I would recommend the "Happy Hour" coffee/tea + cake set for 330. Both the tea and the tiramisu that I ordered were good.

A quirky but cozy cafe with interesting decorations. The inside is quite large with plenty of seating options. I especially like the music selection, which was a mix of soft low-fi, piano, jazz, and instrumental music. The WiFi is great, the food/drinks options are really good (you can have a proper meal here), and the staff was very friendly. There are some drawbacks though. Most of the seats are hard and not very comfortable for extended stays, and some of the larger tables are lacking access to power outlets. In any case, it's nice to spend time here in the morning when it's very quiet, it got a little busy during lunch time though.

Relaxing atmosphere, with nice background ambient music (both high and low tempo). There are many tables, but most seem to not have access to power. If you need power you should try to get a counter seat. The outdoor seating area is large, and looks like a great option when the weather is nice. Good drinks selection and very reasonable prices! One minor downside might be that most of the chairs are quite hard, and perhaps not very comfortable for extended stays.
