A quirky name and an odd description ("bar restaurant furniture store"). Despite this, it is in fact very work friendly and definitely worth visiting. The interior is rustic, filled with vintage and antique furniture. The atmosphere is calm, noise level is good, and it doesn't get very crowded throughout the day. The environment is clean and the space is quite large with multiple seating areas, including several large worktables. Most seats near the walls have power outlets. Friendly and very attentive staff.
The two main drawbacks are WiFi and price. The WiFi is usually very slow and difficult to use (even for light browsing). I find myself always using a mobile hotspot instead. Food and drinks are definitely on the pricey side. The quality is good, but the value is perhaps a little low. Also, some seats right under the AC can get a little cold.
Great atmosphere/vibe. Lots of plants and nice decorations. Peaceful music. Friendly staff. The first floor seating area has one large worktable and a couple of smaller tables. The second floor is quite large and has a lot more seats. Not very busy on a weekday. WiFi was stable but a little slow.
A popular work spot with good WiFi, plenty of power outlets, and good natural light. It was quite empty in the morning but slowly filled around lunch time. Decent drink selection and small food items. There is a two hour time limit, but it didn't seem to be enforced on a weekday. Beware, if you speak too loud you may get told off!
A fantastic cafe when the weather is nice, since they open the large doors. The WiFi is a little slow, and there aren't very many power outlets. The seats are also not the most comfortable. But the vibe does kind of make up for the drawbacks. Also, they probably have the most stylish restroom cafe in Taipei, which features a tree! Not to be confused with the boven library downstairs (paid access only).
A large modern cafe with lots of seating space. The front area is open and airy, with plenty of natural light. Further inside there are small tables, and two large worktables as well. A large selection of food and drink, good WiFi, and plenty of power outlets makes this a great spot to work from. The sandwiches are worth trying, but the portion was perhaps slightly too small. The chairs aren't the most comfortable and it got a little noisy in the afternoon. Great service and friendly staff.
A great workable cafe near Nanjing Fuxing station. The interior is quite unique, with large glass walls and filled with bookshelves. The counter seats and the large work table on the second floor are great for working. Lots of power outlets, comfortable seats, and fast WiFi. The drinks selection is good, and there are some decent food options as well, but a little pricey. The menu has 2 prices for each item. Scan the QR code with Line at the counter and show it when you pay to get the cheapest price.
A small cafe near Nangang Expo. The wooden floors and thoughtful interior gives it a very cozy and homey feel. The seats are comfortable and the counter is good for standing as well. The wifi is good and if you need power then there are lots of outlets hidden under the countertop. The menu selection is perhaps a little small. The tea was good, but quite small considering the price. The best thing about this cafe was that it never got very crowded or noisy throughout the day on a weekday.
A cool looking cafe, but some things could be better. There are lots of power outlets, but the WiFi is a little slow. The counter seats are a little too low, the large worktables are a little too high, and the chairs are quite uncomfortable. Also note that the cafe regularly rents out the space for private events. Be sure to check their facebook before you decide to go.
Probably one of the cheapest cafes I've found in Taipei. A black tea was only 35 NT$. Even so, the interior was nice, clean, modern. Good wifi and power at every seat. It's probably not the type of place I'd sit for an extended period of time, but definitely a great spot to get some work done in the morning. Towards lunch time it got quite busy. They serve breakfast food as well, which seemed very tasty (although I haven't tried it). There is a restroom behind the "secret" door.
One of the quietest places to work from in Taipei. It's a "silent cafe" so talking isn't allowed. Despite the unappealing outside, the inside looks very modern and clean. There is calm background music, comfortable seats, power outlets, and fast WiFi. Desserts, tea, coffee are available. To access, look for no. 183 and ring the buzzer for "nido", then head to the second floor. It can get busy in the afternoon, so it's best to arrive early to get a good seat.
