This Dreamers location actually feels more like a co-working space than a cafe. Huge spacious interior, with lots of seating areas across two floors. I especially like the counter seats on the second floor overlooking the first floor. As with other Dreamers locations, there are plenty of food and drink options available.
There are some unfortunate downsides though. The WiFi was basically unusable (extremely slow and unstable) and the restroom facilities are very basic (no soap provided). It's a shame, if it wasn't for these things, this place has the potential to be one of the best work spots in Taipei.
For those who don’t have an office, it’s a blessing to find a great location in a coffee shop, especially in such a cute little shop. People who have followed Cafe & Cowork for a while may have realized that I usually like to recommend cafes that are easier to reach, but if you are from Taiwan's main island like us, you must first get on a plane to visit Woo Life. I mean, why not? :)
Take the bus directly from the airport to the Shanwai Bus Station, and the cafe is right beside it. Or by car, you can park in the parking lot in front of the bus station.
I have a deep impression of Woo Life, as soon as I open the door, I know that today is the right time. The music is quiet, the light is full, and the seats facing a row of books is very appealing. There is also a large work table, so you can immediately imagine working here; and who doesn’t like the countertop in front of the large glass windows? I love to take a glance outside for a moment.
You already know the disadvantages, it's small and it's hard not to fill up such a good place. But if you have a week of traveling around Kinmen, Woo Life would be a good choice, so come early.
The coffee and desserts are excellent, good Wifi, and a few sockets (that's the lucky seat :))
"An outsider will probably know that Kinmen is also known as Woo Island (浯島) and while staying on this small island, they once drank an unforgettable coffee." - Woo Life
This is indeed the case.
A quiet coffee shop near Yongkang Street. This cafe definitely focuses on coffee and their selection is very large. Even so, they also have a good selection of tea. The interior is quite simple, but feels modern and clean, and the seats are comfortable. If you need power you should get one of the tables by the walls.
This was a perfect work spot on a weekday morning. The counter seats are great, with plenty of power outlets, and the chairs are pretty good (not super comfortable, but not bad either). The piano/lounge background music is perfect for focusing. Large menu with food, drinks, and snacks; although the tea selection was a little small. It was very quiet in the morning but seemed to get busy around lunch time since they also serve food. I'll have to go back and try it in the afternoon as well sometime! More than anything, the service was fantastic and the staff was extremely welcoming!
A great cafe if you're looking for a place to have a proper brunch while also getting some work done. The interior feels modern and open with large windows all around letting in natural light. Two tables near the back wall have power outlets. The WiFi was a little slow, but it worked. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
A great place if you’re looking for a quiet spot on a weekday. Large interior, although the big room feels a little dark and lacks natural light. Good drink selection, including oatly as an option. There's also a small selection of snacks, the banana and hazelnut toast was really tasty, and perfect if you need a small snack. Some power outlets are available, and the WiFi is decent.
A small cafe with an extensive coffee selection, as well as some tea and food. The seating area is small, so if you arrive at a busy time you probably won't get a seat. Morning and late afternoon seem to be less busy. The interior is nice, with chessboard styled tables, and stained glass windows. Friendly staff, comfortable chairs, there are power outlets along the wall, and the WiFi was quite fast and stable. Definitely a comfortable place to work for a couple of hours, but not really suitable for extended stays.
A very unique cafe, and probably one of the quirkiest cafes in Taipei. Each floor has a different style with lots of different seating options depending on what you're looking for. The top floor even has an indoor slide! The WiFi is ok, but could be better. Most seats have access to power, and the menu selection is really good (this oromo location offers food, whereas the other locations don't). This is definitely a cafe you have to visit at least once in Taipei!
Definitely one of my favorite cafes near Zhongshan station. It's a great place to work from since it opens early, the WiFi is fast, and there are plenty of power outlets. I like the atmosphere since it feels very bright, airy, and modern, with plenty of natural light. The cafe is quite large, with many seating options available, but I normally choose the large work table (although I wish the chairs were a bit more comfortable). If you arrive in the morning it's usually very quiet and great for focusing on your work. Afternoons might be a little busy though.
Bright, modern cafe near Zhongshan with both counter, bar, and table seats available. Very fast wifi (160 Mb/s) and plenty of power outlets near the seats. The coldbrew coffee is quite strong as well. Came on a Tuesday and although quite full at times, there was always seating available.
Stayreal is a Taiwanese clothes brand, and across from their shop near Zhongxiao Dunhua they also operate this cafe. On a weekday afternoon the first floor was quite full, however, the basement floor was empty, great for getting some work done. Even though there are no windows downstairs, the interior feels very bright and clean. The seats are comfortable, the WiFi is good, and there are power outlets along the wall. It is not necessary to order a drink, so if you just want to have a snack I would recommend trying the bubble waffles!
