A very "random" cafe themed after Mr. Bean. It is good for working though, with decent wifi and plenty of seating (indoor and outdoor).
This Starbucks is right in front of the beach and you can see the ocean from the seat inside. There are a couple of seats with outlets but not all of them. Also, the bathroom was out of service. WiFi password is just shown on the counter so easy to connect and no issue of signing in to use like they do in other countries.
This cafe is run by Syra coffee, which is a popular chain of cafe in Spain. The building is a coworking space / startup community called itnig, but the cafe is open to public with a plenty of seats. The WiFi is workable but not the fastest. Also, there are not so many comfortable seats to sit for the entire day, especially if you're alone. If you can't get the table seats, you only get the high stools or the weird mattress seats. There's not many power outlets as well. Also, in the after noon, the sun light gets bit too much and can get quite hot inside.
A trendy cafe in Gastown. I arrived just before 9 on a weekday and it was already quiet busy. I've noticed that cafes open early and close early, so I guess the cafe-worker crowd follows the same schedule. The cafe actually has two entrances, one from Powell St and one from Alexander St. There's a small seating on one side, and a much larger room on the other side.
The interior feels trendy, but I wouldn't say it was very comfortable. As the place was quite busy it was a little noisy as well. Good for a morning work session, but not really the type of place I'd hang out at for a longer period of time.
This place is located right next to the Urquinaona station. Has some seats for couples, but also there are sofa seats by the wall with some power outlets. If you can secure one of those seats, you're good for the entire day. This Buenas Migas has a larger selections of food other than focaccia as well, such as salads and some pastries. Just be careful how concentrated you get because while I was staying there, someone snuck beside us and try to snatch the phone on the table. We noticed and he ran away but just beware of your surroundings!
Small cozy cafe in Kaohsiung, near Central Park. I would say it's a fairly comfortable place to work. It was a little hot inside though (I don't think the AC was on). Food was ok, but I would have preferred a simple toast or pastry without the other side dishes. Good wifi, few power outlets.
