A nice café to work if you need to be in the att4fun area. Especially the specialty coffee and desserts (soft serve ice cream and waffles!!) are great.
The top area is reserved for working, while the lower area is meant for more casual coffee drinking. This also means that plugs are only available at the top area (available for every other seat with USB and normal outlets). WiFi is pretty average, as you use the public A13 Guest wifi, view and toilet are rated low, as there is only the public toilet available and the "view" is simply the mall - which is great for people watching, but not much more.
An interesting cafe with a curious mix of french music and Star Wars decorations. The interior feels modern and spacious with a small seating area downstairs and a much larger seating area on the second floor. Lots of power outlets, but unfortunately none at the large worktables. WiFi was decent, but felt a little slow when it got busier. During the winter months the upstairs area felt quite cold.
A popular cafe near NTNU. On a weekday afternoon it was very busy full with many people studying or working. It has a cool vibe and good relaxing music selection, but it felt too cramped/crowded. Another downside is that the menu is surprisingly limited (especially if you don't want to drink coffee). The WiFi was very slow and difficult to connect to, and one of the power outlets by my table wasn't working.
There used to be a Starbucks on the 35F of Taipei 101, open to the public, but required a reservation. There was also a strict minimum spend of 250 NTD and a 90 minute time limit. I had a chance to test it before they closed the Starbucks during the end of 2020 (maybe it will open again in the future?)
You need to call and make a reservation, at least 1 day before. Arrive at Taipei 101 around 10 minutes before you reservation and then a staff member will escort you up to the 35F. The Starbucks itself is very small. There are mostly counter seats along the windows with good views, as well as some smaller tables. There was only 1 power outlet but it wasn't near any of the windows. The WiFi was unfortunately quite slow as well.
A fun experience, but perhaps not the most workable place in Taipei.
