A new favorite spot in Hiroo. I wasn't sure if it was workable, but I asked the staff and they said laptops are ok. Keep in mind there is a time limit, but only enforced when it is busy, mostly on weekends I guess. Nice vibes, very peaceful, good drinks. Some Mondays/Tuesdays closed (I think?).
If you're looking for a quiet spot in Shibuya then this is a bit of a hidden gem. It is located on the 2F of the OneFive Tokyo Shibuya hotel. Very fast WiFi, a few power outlets available, and decent drinks. The opening hours are quite limited though, so be sure to plan ahead.
This cafe is located on the 2nd floor of DDD Hotel. A nice quiet spot to get some work done. The counter seats overlooking the street below are a nice place to sit. The main downside is the price of drinks (quite expensive at ~800 yen for a coffee and ~900 yen for tea), and there is a 90 minute time limit per drink order.
Art gallery / cafe. It was basically empty on a weekday afternoon. There's fast wifi, some power outlets, and a decent selection of drinks.
A small and quaint cafe near Taipei City Hall. Both the interior and exterior are filled with green plants. The interior feels both modern and a little rustic, giving it quite a nice vibe. Luckily I had the entire cafe to myself on a (very) rainy weekday. Perhaps I was the only one that wanted to go out in the rain to find a cafe that day? The menu is quite large, with plenty of drink options, and although I didn't try any, the food sounded very nice (sweet and savory options available). Good WiFi, but slightly lacking power outlets (there was a power strip by the cupboards in the front seating area though).
A nice cafe in a narrow alley in Seminyak. It is not crowded at all since it's a bit hidden from the main street. Only down side is that there is no toilets inside the establishments, but there are hostels and such nearby which will lend you a bathroom. Very fast and reliable WiFi.
This Buenas Migas is very close from a station so access by train is amazing. There are only 8 tables by the wall that has power outlet. The food selection is not the best but has enough things if you need a quick bite. The coffee tasted little off for the one I ordered but maybe it was just a one off. The music was bit loud, and they were playing a lot of bossa nova mix of popular pop songs, so if you're easily distracted and can't stop the urge of singing along, make sure to bring a ANC headphone. And maybe not the best place to make calls for that reason.
