The free basement area is quite nice with some decent seating options. It was pretty much empty when we arrived. Really fast wifi. Be sure to check the event calendar though as the space might be booked.
This place is workable, especially the second floor, but the WiFi was unstable.
A free "coworking" space provided by Tokyo city.
Before you visit, make sure you download the app and register an account. When you enter the building take the escalator up to the second floor where you'll find the reception.
Scan your QR code at the entrance gates, and then grab a badge.
There's seating on both the 2nd and 3rd floors. I arrived on a weekday afternoon and it was very crowded. If you want to find a proper seat you should probably arrive early. Apparently it is fairly empty on weekends.
The WiFi is quite cumbersome to connect to. You have to download the TOKYO FREE Wi-Fi profile in order to connect to the WiFi. Instructions are available here: https://wi-fi.metro.tokyo.lg.jp/en/
The clip on your badge can be exchanged for a free coffee from the coffee machine. You can bring your own drinks instead if you prefer.
A new cafe that recently opened in Zhongxing New Villeage in Nantou. It's small, but feels very cozy and nicely designed. There are a couple of tables available, suitable for work. Power outlets at every seat, but no WiFi unfortunately. Nice coffee, tea, and the scones look tasty! It's a little pricey for the area, but I like the vibe!
A very nice outdoor terrace on the 7th floor. There are lots of restaurants inside, and lots of seating outside. Seems like a nice place to hang out with friends and get some food and drinks. It was quite peaceful. If you want to sit and work then make sure you bring a wifi hotspot.
A nice café to work if you need to be in the att4fun area. Especially the specialty coffee and desserts (soft serve ice cream and waffles!!) are great.
The top area is reserved for working, while the lower area is meant for more casual coffee drinking. This also means that plugs are only available at the top area (available for every other seat with USB and normal outlets). WiFi is pretty average, as you use the public A13 Guest wifi, view and toilet are rated low, as there is only the public toilet available and the "view" is simply the mall - which is great for people watching, but not much more.
