A simple but good hotel/hostel. Location is very good, just a few minutes walk from Central Park MRT station. There are lots of shops, restaurants, and cafes nearby. Coffee Wake up cafe is just across the street, one of my favorite cafes in Kaohsiung.
The shared facilities are very suitable for working, and were very clean and tidy. The kitchen area is quite big. The rooftop space has fantastic views!
A solid place to sit and work at. Wifi is good but only some tables have power outlets. The large table is "reserved" for large groups. Good selection of tea and coffee and some snacks. Friendly staff.
WiFi slightly unstable. Large worktable on the second floor with lots of power outlets. Drinks and snacks are alright, but nothing too special.
A fairly standard Starbucks with plenty of seating. The counter seats facing the street have a nice view, good for people watching!
A really beautiful library that provides a quiet environment for working or studying, surrounded by great views. There are very many seating options spread out across the 8 floors. There are power outlets everywhere and plenty of restrooms. The only downside is that there is no visitor WiFi. Only university students can access the WiFi, which is a shame. So as a visitor you'll have to use your own wireless hot spot.
The nearest MRT station is Taipei Zoo, but it's a 25 minute walk away. Instead, if you're coming from central Taipei, it is probably better to just catch a bus, of which many stop just outside the university. Anyone can access the library, although you'll have to sign-in on the computer when you arrive and hand in your ID card to the reception staff in exchange for a temporary access card.
A small cozy coffee shop not too far from Nippori station (JR) or Sendagi (Chiyoda). Good coffee and pretty cheap. There is WiFi, but you have to use the Free WiFi Passport network. There is a 90 minute time limit on weekends.
離鄉一陣子之後回來，中興新村變了很多，問了一下店主這裡開了多久了，沒想到也三年了。以前要說上能去哪裡趕稿，大家可能會先想到省府圖書館的閱覽室。
總之，很高興這裡也生出一處好地方，可以和老朋友敘敘舊、可以在連假返鄉的時候花上幾個小時把工作做完。拾悅咖啡有不錯的飲品，簡單的餐點，WiFi比較慢(但只是休假時趕工的好地方，有什麼好挑剔的呢?)，有一些插座可使用。
