An interesting cafe located on the second floor of an office building. Once you enter the building take a right and you'll see a sign leading you up the stairs. The cafe space is split into two parts. A smaller space by counter, and a larger space half a floor up. It was surprisingly busy during the morning on a weekday.
There is WiFi, but I didn't see any power outlets. I didn't see any restrooms (but I'm sure there must be some restrooms in the building). Drink felt a little non-premium since it was served in a plastic cup.
A very nice Japanese style location for STREAMER COFFEE. It was quite busy on a weekday morning, but got fairly empty later in the morning and around lunch time. Great WiFi, but I'm not sure about power outlets (I didn't see any at least).
A good spot to work from near Akasaka and Akasaka-Mitsuke stations. Some tables and a long counter with power outlets.
I'm not quite sure if this is a permanent location or just a popup shop. Order on the ground floor, and then there are two floors of seating. It wasn't very busy when I visited on a weekday morning, however, the interior is very echoey, so if anyone is talking inside it feels noisy. There is a tiny restroom on the first floor.
A nice spot to grab a drink and get some work done. WiFi works well on the first floor, but wasn't really usable on the second floor. Staff was friendly and speaks good english.
There isn't much on the east side of Higashi-Shinjuku station, but I found this spot. I guess it's a hostle/hotel as well, but the entire first floor is a cafe. It's a nice workable spot, with good wifi and some power outlets. The menu is designed to look like a newspaper, which looks cool.
Quite busy during weekdays. The 2nd floor is where you'd want work. Nice window counter seating. There are some standing desks available, and a lot of power outlets in the walls. Internet isn't great since there is many people, try to come with your hotspot.
A popular Starbucks located on the 6th floor of Tokyu Plaza in Harajuku-Omotesando area. It's a fairly nice place to sit and work at, especially in the morning before the department store opens (in this case use the elevator entrance to access the Starbucks). There's a fairly large indoor area, with one large work table. The outdoor area is very large, which is great to use when the weather is good.
A tiny cafe just outside the city center of Utrecht. The cafe really is quite tiny, but has lots of natural light and a cozy feel. The downside is it can be pretty tricky to get a seat. Weekdays mornings are usually completely packed, so not really the type of place to bring your laptop. They have some nice brunch food and there's good fast WiFi.
